Devotees,
The first step in our 2015- May 28th-31st Mahakumbabhisekam and Nabakalebara event is Balalayam Pujas.
Balalayam is performed before we commence repair and renovation of ‘vimanams’ and sanctums in the run up to the "Mahakumbabhisekam" event.
What is "Balalayam"?
The divine presence of deities in our temple is transferred from the murti worshipped to a Kalasha. This Kalasha is then placed in the Balalayam and offered worship. ‘Baala’ means mini and ‘Aalaya’ means temple or structure in Sanskrit language.
Please find the details of the balalayam pujas to be performed at our temple main prayer hall on 4/24 Friday and 4/25 Saturday in enclosed flyer(Click here to View the Flyer). All are requested to participate in this 2 day event and seek blessings and support us.
On completion of the pujas on 4/25 Saturday afternoon, the main temple side will be closed for repairs and day to day puja will be performed in mini-hall.Devotees will be offering worship to the divine presence in holy kalashas. Please note that the Mahakumbhabisekam and Nabakalebara pujas from May 28th to May31st will enable us to revert divine presence to our temple deities and open our main temple side on May 31st morning for offering worship in the main prayer hall.
All are requested to support the Mahakumbhabisekam and Nabakalebara with financial contributions. Please place your names on the sign up sheet and write checks in favor of Hindu Temple and hand them to our priests or our committee members or post them to our temple address. There are only 5 more weeks for the main event and we request your financial support in successful conduct of Mahakumbhabisekam and Nabakalebara event.
